Didn't get the edition I wanted

The book description and the book photo don't match. The photo shows the 4th edition. That's what I wanted, and that's what I thought I was buying. But the book that arrived was the 3rd edition. The photo is misleading and should be changed to match the book being sold. To make matters worse, on mobile no edition is stated - all you have to go on is the photo. I have not asked for my money back, but neither do I have the book I wanted.

Great reference

I have a 30 year old version of this book that my mother used in college. If you want to know how to integrate any weird function, look in here. The best table of integrals i've ever seen, and lots of helpful formulas and references. A terrific reference. I have used this book for virtually all my classes as an Electrical Engineering major.

Excellent lookup table for integrals

This book contains a lot of integrals that don't show up in many other references, which makes it very useful. It's not as extensive as Gradshteyn & Ryzhik, but it's a small and compact reference book that can be carried around easily. Highly recommended if you can find a copy.

Two against two!

Cheetah has come to Gotham City to get rich. Her plan is to disguise herself as Catwoman so that Catwoman gets the blame. This does not go so well. Not only is the costume too tight but who should she meet on her second heist but the one and only Catwoman! Deciding to team up, the two of them don't realize that Batman also has a partner to help him in this one. Wonder Woman!

Will Batman in his Batmobile and Wonder Woman in her Invisible Jet be able to catch the naughty pair? Where does the idea of a "Trojan Horse" come into play?

This is a short chapter book (five chapters) for older, independent readers or great as a read aloud. There are several colored illustrations throughout the book. Our kids really enjoyed this tale.

Great artwork

I bought the book for the good old JLU art, not so much the story. And there is enough of it to enjoy. The 10 pages of art, plus filer, was very satisfying.

The story is OK, be it a tad too simple and more aimed at a younger audience. Good read, feels like the old 20 minitue episodes. I still laugh at Wonder Woman's excuse to be in Gotham to "open an exhibit of Greek art" at 3am.

A nail biter

Set immediately after the end of book two, Ross is on trial for his life - will he be convicted of luring two ships to wreak upon the shores of his land and inciting the village to plunder them? George Warleggan will do all he can to make it so. Will Jud tip the scales one way or the other? One of my favorites in the series, Caroline Penvenen and her wee dog Horace arrives, and the good Dr. Enys is smitten. The christening of their new son Jeremy is in marked contrast to the christening of their first child Julia 3 years earlier and Francis is a total hero in his toast to Demelza.

Totally addicted to this series back in the 70's watching it on Masterpiece Theatre Sunday nights with my mom and sisters. I eagerly gobbled up the first 4 books
1945 - Ross Poldark
1946 - Demelza
1950 - Jeremy Poldark
1953 - Warleggan

I stopped reading the series in 1977 as the novels had gotten so dark that I wasn't enjoying where the author was taking the characters.
1973 - The Black Moon
1976 - The Four Swans
1977 - The Angry Tide

I was poking in a book store on vacation and picked up `The Twisted Sword' and enjoyed it tremendously (with one exception - I didn't care for the outcome for Jeremy at all).

It was so good seeing Zacky Martin & Mrs. Zacky, Tholly Tregolis, Jud & Trudy Paynter - they hadn't changed at all. Dwight & Caroline Enys (and Horace), Verity & Andrew Blamey. And of course Demelza and Ross (still all too human). George Warleggan remains the same fascinating character. And Cornwall, Nampara (the Ross Poldark home) Wheal Grace and Wheal Leisure all so familiar 40 years later.

I am not sure I will pick up the last book as from the the reviews I don't think I will enjoy it as much. The author passed away in 2003 at age 90 so it is truly the last written by him.
